Alcoa Aluminum wheels

Bulthuis is a premium distributor of Alcoa aluminum wheels within the Benelux

Alcoa wheels are manufactured aluminum wheels for trucks, semi-trailers and buses.

Alcoa wheels are made of high quality and corrosion-resistant aluminum. With an 8000tons press the block is forged to a wheel. After the forging, the wheel undergoes a heat treatment to give an additional mechanical reinforcement to the aluminum.

Trailer wheels

In some European countries the penetration in this segment amounts to more than 80 percent. The tanker segment is one of the most weight sensitive segments and in some cases the return on investment can be achieved in less than one year.

Thanks to our forging process Alcoa Wheels are extremely high strength and impact resistant, which, in the world of dangerous goods transport, provides a valuable additional security benefit.

Trailer wielen

Transporting cereals or sugar beets in a truck on Alcoa Wheels means an increase of payload of 250 to 300 kg. Consequently, the number of journeys is reduced, and this results in an increase of business profitability. The wheel carries a five-year warranty and a life of at least 15 years is not uncommon.

Trailer wheels

Consider that a truck does four to five journeys a day with Alcoa Wheels, this can result in up to 1,5 T additional material carried. The return on investment in this segment is also very low and can be achieved in about two years. Here too, the forging process adds another benefit to that of weight saving.

Trailer wielen

Considering the weight restrictions imposed by authorities, saving 300 kg by using Alcoa Wheels can result in an extra pallet on the truck. In sectors, such as petrochemical, steel, construction, food industry, where the technical specifications are very strict, choosing Alcoa Wheels makes sense. “To carry all of our stage, sound and lighting equipment, we need every kilo of payload but we also want the vehicle to look beautiful.”

Trailer wheels

Both appearance and weight play a significant role for those in the reefer segment. When hauling fruit, vegetables, meat and dry products, every additional pallet on a truck means more profit.

Trailer wheels

Especially used for chemical transport, the container chassis segment is a typical weight sensitive segment, in some cases the return on investment can be achieved in less than one year. Thanks to the forging process, Alcoa Wheels are extremely high strength and impact resistant, which, in the world of dangerous goods transport, provides a valuable additional security benefit.

In the mining and forestery industry, our wheels are used in the most severe conditions. As well as weight saving, strength and impact resistance are determining factors.
